Shiny and special stickers: what they are, why they're worth more, and how to hunt them

June 22, 2026 · 4 min read

In almost every album there's a group of stickers that feel different: the shiny ones. They have a metallic finish, they shine, and they're nearly always the crests, the legends or the most sought-after pieces. There are only a few of them and they show up less often, so they become the heart of the collection.

Why are they harder to get?

They're printed in smaller quantities than the common ones but spread across the packs just the same, so the odds of pulling a shiny are lower. That scarcity is what gives them their value: one shiny double can be traded for several common stickers.

How to boost your chances

  • Swap for them, don't chase them in packs: a shiny you've got spare is gold to someone else, and the other way around.
  • Keep a separate count: knowing exactly which shiny ones you're missing saves you from chasing the ones you already have.
  • Connect with more collectors: the more people you trade with, the faster the hard ones turn up.
  • Be patient with the last few: shiny stickers are usually the last thing you complete. That's normal.

Take care of them

A shiny sticker in bad shape loses its trade value. Stick them down carefully and, if you keep them as doubles, make sure they don't get scratched or bent.

On Figuritas Online, shiny stickers are marked separately and you can see how many you're missing at a glance, so you can focus on them and swap with whoever has them.

Quick questions

What is a shiny sticker?

It's a sticker with a metallic or shiny finish, usually rarer and more valuable (crests, legends, specials). They come out in smaller quantities, which is why they're harder to get.
